I’m in the process of shifting my home and as usual, it involves a lot of planning, sorting out and selling unwanted stuff. Oops, I forgot to plan my menu for today. So here I am in front of the refrigerator peeking in to see; what I can cook?
Enough of the Dal Chawal… Why not make some veggies, paneer, meat to go with chapattis? I used all the ingredients available at home apart from the cream and herbs that I ordered. In a rush because I have to feed

Main course
Multigrain Chapatti: Bought multigrain aata (flour) from the supermarket. You can also add some ground flax seeds.
Paneer Butter Masala
Take a Cooking dish, add oil, whole cumin, chopped green chilies, saute some chopped onions, add garlic, ginger paste. Now, add turmeric(optional), kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder, tomato puree and cashewnut paste. Cook for 5-10 min, add fresh cream, 5 more minutes. Add black pepper powder, roasted cumin powder, home-made garam masala. Finish by adding fresh paneer cubes, 1-2 minutes. Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve.
Kheema with Sesame Seeds
Marinate the lamb Kheema (ground meat) with yoghurt, garlic ginger paste, turmeric powder and salt and a few fried onions. Refrigerate for ½ hour. In a cooking dish, saute green chillies with chopped or sliced onions. Add Kashmiri red chilli powder, coriander powder and marinated ground meat. Cook on high till you get rid of the raw smell. Add chopped tomatoes, 2-3 minutes on high and then turn the heat to low. Add roasted sesame seeds and mix well. Cover and cook till done. Sprinkle coriander leaves and some more sesame seeds, squeeze a lil lemon juice if you like.
Palak Aaloo
In a cooking dish saute chopped onions (extra as palak can be bitter) and chopped green chillies(optional). Add garlic paste, potato cubes and cook. Now add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chopped tomatoes and salt. Cook on low till soft. Add washed and chopped palak (spinach). Cook till done. Olive oil is a good option.
